The new release of Battlefield 2142 has come with much anticipation, and not without controversy either. EA Games has decided to include spyware/adware inside the game. EA claims it is not specifically adding either but according to my definition it is. Spyware=Monitoring and transmitting data, Adware=Downloading Advertising, if you purchased the game then you saw the white sheet of paper outlining what is included with the game and no way to remove it, so if you don't want it don't install or play the game.   EA has suspended Non-Game Stat Sites!! If you want to check your Stats do it from inside the game go to the BFHQ tab to view  your Stats.

Community sites, such as bf2s.com, were causing the ingame experience to degrade because of increased traffic to the single stats server.

Resolution:
For the time being, BF2S.com is going to be quiet. Stats will stay are they are now, and player online/offline status will continue to update, but that is all. I have no more data stream. I have been told, however, that I can expect to public stat servers soon. Meaning: BF2S.com should be back in operation within the next two weeks. When that happens you'll know .
